Indian Roadmaster Classic Coming Soon

Wait is over, the indian Road master coming soon in india.The Indian Roadmaster Classic gets new colour schemes of Thunder Black, Willow Green over Ivory Cream and Red over Ivory Cream. There are some feature updates as well.

The most noticeable update is that the ‘Rider Command’ infotainment system, which includes a 7-inch touchscreen, USB and Bluetooth connectivity and a radio as well. The touchscreen also shows the relevant riding data and has a navigation feature as well.

The other features include cruise control, desert tan leather seats and saddlebags, tyre pressure monitoring system, heated seats and grips, LED lights and keyless ignition. All the features are standard. Also, the total capacity of the saddlebags and the top box is 122 litres. They are detachable of course.

The Indian Roadmaster Classic will also have the same 1,811 ‘Thunder-Stroke’ V-twin engine that is air-cooled. The engine churns out 135 Nm of peak torque at a rather low 2,100 rpm. The US-spec Roadmaster Classic belts out 161.6 Nm at 3,000 rpm. So, the Indian-spec Roadmaster Classic will see a significant drop in torque figure.

The company does not reveal the power outfit of its motorcycles. The Roadmaster range is built on the same platform as the Indian Chieftain and the Roadmaster Classic in particular tips the scale at a portly 392 kg.

The Indian Roadmaster has been on sale in India for almost a year now and is currently the prices of the bike start at ? 39.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

One can expect the prices of the Roadmaster Classic to go up by a couple of lakhs as it will have more features, specially the rider command system, which will now be seen in all the Indian motorcycles that will be launched in 2017.
