After former commander Sabzar Bhat was killed in an encounter, a tech-savvy Riyaz Ahmad Naikoo has been taken charge as the new commander of the group. Naikoo(29) is the oldest surviving militant of the outfit.
He is considered as a top liner among the other Hizbul militants. Sabzar Bhat was killed in an encounter with security forces in Kashmir’s militant-infested Tral area.
Naikoo has been placed in the A++ category and has a bounty of over Rs 12 lakh on his head.
