Delhi Metro trains running slow on Busy ‘Blue Line’

Delhi Metro’s Blue Line faced another issue on Tuesday evening leaving commuters stranded at various stations during peak rush hours.

The busy line that connects Noida and Vaishali to Dwarka started running at a snail’s pace around 5pm.

Reports from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) indicate that a technical snag occurred due to a fault in the overhead electrical (OHE) wire between Indraprashtha and Yamuna Bank stations.

“Some strand of OHE wire reportedly snapped between Indraprastha and Yamuna Bank metro station at 4:55 pm. This is on the down line where the metro was heading towards Noida/Vaishali,” said a metro official.

The issue is yet to be resolved, so metro stations and trains continue to be crowded. “OHE team is taking remedial measures and train movement is being regulated at this section for the time being,” officials added.
