It is official, the series on the yoga guru’s journey from being a common man to a global figure will roll by year-end.
It is reported that Actor-director-producer Ajay Devgn has joined hands with filmmaker Abhinav Shukla to produce a TV series on yoga guru Ramdev.
“The television series, titled Swami Baba Ramdev: The Untold Story revolves around Ramdev and his partner Balakrishna, tracing his journey from an anonymous common man to a global figure,“ informs a source.
The writers of the show are presently busy with their research and the shooting will start by the year-end, the source added.
Ramdev was born on December 25, 1965, in the Hazaribag Ali Saiyad Pur village of Haryana. He studied yoga and Sanskrit in several gurukuls before turning into a sanyasi. The casting for Ramdev’s biopic is underway. It is being said that Dil Dhadakne Do actor Vikrant Massey was roped in to play the titular character, but he has since opted out.
Vikrant confirmed it, saying, “Yes, I had started preparing but have since opted out for personal reasons. I wish the team luck.”
