Is Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon fame actor Avinash Sachdev fell in love with his reel life partner Shalmalee Desai on the sets of the show and after dating for a while, the couple tied the knot in 2015. But all is not really going well between the two from quite a long time.
Rumours are doing the rounds that the couple is on the verge to end their two years long marriage because of Avinash’s alleged philandering. Some sources even accused Avinash of being a heavy drunkard and a wife beater.
The actor who kept denying such rumours, finally opened up about it and said, “All that is being written and talked about is just for TRP. It is absolutely untrue. Yes, we are having certain issues in marriage. And we are trying our best to sort things out. Having said this, we are the best of friends even today. And yes, I am not a wife-beater. Well, it is life, and problems in relationships do creep up at times. We are having basic compatibility issues and whatever it is, it is mutual. But problems are not such that we are just ending it today. We are in a position today where we are trying our best to sort it out. We stay together and have no grudges or hatred in our relationship.”
Shalmalee too admitted that things are not fine between the two but also was shocked at the false media reports. In a statement to an online entertainment portal, she spoke her heart out about her tough marriage and hubby Avinash. “I am shocked with whatever I heard. All that is being claimed is rubbish. We are having issues and we are trying to level things. The people who are involved in this are me, Avi, his parents and my parents. This is our personal problem and we will figure a way for it which will be the best for both of us. There is absolutely no bad blood between me and Avi. The poor guy has never ever raised his finger at me, leave alone beating me. He is one of the sweetest and gentlest people you will ever find. There is nothing of that sort. There is no complaint that I have lodged. My parents will in fact vouch for what a good guy Avi is. Whatever is there is within the family and we will try and sort it out.”
Shalmalee doesn’t really trust her hubby and is dubious about his loyalty towards her. Avinash was earlier dating Rubina Dilaik, his lead co-star in Chhoti Bahu. But his relationship with her also ended on a sour note.
Let’s hope that all issues get resolved soon between Avinash and Shalmalee !
