Many hospitalised after consuming ‘poisonous’ tea in Uttar Pradesh

In Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh, at least 21 people have been hospitalised after consumption of poisonous tea from a tea stall.

They were immediately admitted to Aurora Community Health Centre (CHC) for treatment.

Out of all the 21 victims, 3 are in a grave condition and are being transferred to Varanasi Trauma Centre for further treatment.

According to reports, a week ago, around 27 people fell sick consuming tea from the same tea stall. The Aurora Police department immediately transferred these victims to the nearest hospital.

The incident took place at a tea stall owned by Ramasheesh. The shop owner is said to have escaped from the spot.
