Do you remember the scene where Kareena Kapoor rides a scooter in the garb of a bride to meet Aamir Khan in Ladakh in 3 Idiots? Yes, the same one where they kiss next to a beautiful lake.
Now that exact area is a beautiful tourist spot. A scooter has been placed on the shores of the Pangong Tso Lake, where tourists can click a photo resembling the actor’s scene in the film. Tourists are also offered a costume similar to the one Kareena wears in the film, just for Rs. 50. The popular tourist spot has been titled as ‘Kareena Scooty.’
Recently, there were talks of a sequel to the film being in the works. Rajkumar Hirani said, “Aamir is always a complete joy to work with. He is one of those rare persons, who gets completely involved in the film. So, I would love to work with him. In fact, in between, we have a great idea for 3 Idiots 2. It is still very sketchy, but out of excitement, Abhijat and I bounced the idea to Aamir, and he is also very keen to do it someday. If that happens, then we would love to work together. So if that ever happens, we wonder if Kareena, too, will be a part of it.”
A lot of interesting real life things are happening with 3 Idiots. Firstly the man who inspired Aamir Khan’s character in the film got a global award. Sonam Wangchuk, the inspiration behind Aamir Khan’s ‘Phunsukh Wangdu’ character in the film, has gained further global recognition bagging the prestigious Rolex Awards for Enterprise 2016.
