Two army officials, including a major, died today morning in an encounter with the terrorists in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. The terrorists attacked the patrol party of the Indian Army in Shopian.
Earlier today, two militants have been gunned down in an encounter with Indian armed forces in Kulgam district, police said.
He said one of the slain militants was involved in an attack on a bank cash van in the district on May 1 this year in which five policemen and two bank guards were killed.
The security forces have recovered two weapons from the site of the encounter.
