Thirty children died in two days at a hospital in Uttar Pradesh’s Gorapkhpur, district magistrate Rajeev Rautela said on Friday. The deaths allegedly occurred after disruption of liquid oxygen over a payment dispute.
The oxygen supply at the BRD?Medical College, which is the largest hospital in the Gorakhpur region, was reportedly stopped as the suppliers’ bill of Rs 67 lakh was not
cleared.
Maximum deaths were reported from the Neonatal and Encephlitis wards.
Gorakhpur is UP?chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s constituency.
