Sasikala, who is lodged at the Parappana Agrahara jail in Bengaluru had on Monday applied for 15-day parole to visit her ailing husband M Natarajan, who is admitted at a hospital in Chennai for liver failure.
Sources say that ,Jail superintendent Somashekar turns down emergency parole moved by sasikala’ advocates. The advocates had applied for parole along with medical certificate of sasikala’s husband Natarajan. Superintendent Somashekar cites inadequacies in the application, seeks more details and affidavits. Asks counsel to make fresh application.
Even if Sasikala’s counsels make fresh affidavits, it will be thoroughly scrutinised with the help of Tamil Nadu police, which will press the jurisdictional police to verify the claims in the application. Which means, the process has to begin all over again and sasikala won’t be out on parole any soon.
