Modi should stop wasting nation’s time, give jobs to youth as promised, says Rahul Gandhi

Rahul, who is on a three-day visit to his parliamentary constituency Amethi, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should stop wasting time of the countrymen and start giving employment to youth as promised.

Rahul also lashed out at the government for failing to create jobs and said in India everyday 30,000 people seek employment.

“And you know out of those 30,000 how many people get jobs. Only 400,” he said.

Earlier today, Gandhi came down heavily on the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government saying that it was recklessly implementing programmes initiated by the UPA government.
He added that programmes like the Goods and Services Tax (GST) was causing distress among common man.

Gandhi said that PM Modi was only changing the nomenclature of Congress-led UPA schemes and programmes and running them.

While addressing a farmers’ rally Rahul said recollected how PM Modi had downplayed the rural job scheme MGNREGA which was initiated by the Congress.

“But Modi realised later what the MGNREGA meant for the common man and he began praising it. The Congress initiates programmes after consulting common people, taking their suggestions,” said Rahul.
