The accused carried out the illegal looting from the victim’s bank account while he was traveling abroad, his phone was switched off that time.
An Asian arrested by Dubai police for buying gold worth Dh270,000 using forged credit card of a European citizen. Police also seized the fake passport of the European citizen from the suspect.
The suspect made the purchases while the victim was traveling abroad. The man had a fake passport in the name of the European that he used to make the counterfeit card.
Director of the Al Qusais police station Brigadier Youssef Al Adidi, said that the European man informed the cops after he noticed that huge amount of money withdrawn from his account without his knowledge while he was abroad.
On receiving information, the police swung into action. They caught the accused while he was buying jewelry in a gold market. After that, the suspect confessed that he also had a fake passport in the name of the victim.
Following his arrest, the police also nabbed two more persons involved in the crime. One of them was a banker who helped to penetrate the bank’s system to create gimmick card.
