 Doctor’s strike in Bengaluru: Claims life of five, more reports are coming

Doctor’s strike in Bengaluru claims five more life till now. More deaths were reported from different places in the state due to the doctors’ strike on Tuesday.
 
A 56-year-old Panchayat Development Officer(PDO) Gyanappa Budnal, who suffered a heart attack, died as he could not get medical attention. The officer died as he could not get treatment at a private hospital where he was admitted.
 
A 60-year-old trader Shekhappa Gyanappa Jakkali died of a heart attack at Bagalkot district. Jakkali complained of chest pain due to a dip in blood pressure. As the private hospitals were closed due to the strike, he was taken to the government hospital. Even before the medical officer could examine him, Jakkali breathed his last.
 
A three-month-old infant, which was suffering from breathing problems, died as it could not get timely medical care in Hassan.
 
A resident of Nadi-Ingalgaon village Kallavva Srishail Ambi, 12 years old died in Belagavi district. As the girl was suffered from back pain and about to go unconscious, she was taken to a private hospital, but she did not receive treatment as the doctors are on strike.
 
Vaishnavi Jadhav, 9, of Dharwad, who was undergoing treatment for dengue at the Kims Hospital in Hubballi, died yesterday night. She was refused treatment at private hospitals and had to be taken to the Kims Hospital.
