A 17-year-old girl gets raped by a taxi driver after offering a free ride to the teen when she said no money. The taxi driver named Katar Shahin sexually assaulted the girl offering a free ride. The driver took her to McDonald’s restaurant and after that bring her to own home in Hanford area of Swansea and raped her.
He took her to a McDonald’s restaurant before driving her to his house in the Hafod area of Swansea and sexually assaulting her. The driver Katar Shahin denied rape, claiming the girl was a prostitute and he had paid her money for having sex.
The court although don’t take that it into account and Police have praised the courage of the youngster in coming forward and have branded Shahin a ‘sexual predator’.
The incident related to the case is as follows: on June 4 last year the girl was walking towards the center of Swansea after leaving the friends she had spent the night with. She had taken alcohol, cannabis, and a sleeping tablet, and was heavily intoxicated. The taxi driver saw the girl and pulled-up beside her, asking if she needed a lift, she said she didn’t have any money but Shahin said he would take her home for free. Shahin drove to the McDonald’s and bought his victim a Coke and then drove to his house and raped her.
