Depressed brother commits suicide over this reason

Although they are irritating and annoying sisters love their brothers and vice versa. Do you call this action brotherly love?

A technical staffer of a multinational bank allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his residence in Vijayanagar, Bangalore late on Wednesday. He was 32.

Harshit Shetty, a resident of Prashanthnagar and a native of Kundapur, worked as a team leader in the technical department of Wells Fargo India Solutions Ltd in Kadubeesanahalli. He is survived by wife Ramya Shetty and a two-year-old daughter.

According to family members, Harshit was depressed after his elder sister, Asha Shetty, was diagnosed with cancer. “Harshit’s mother had died of cancer in 2002 and his father too had died of health issues in 2005,” police quoted family members as saying. “After his parents passed away, Asha took care of Harshit and had helped him complete an MBA.”

On December 10, Asha was admitted to Manipal hospital in Manipal and Harshit paid her a visit. “Doctors had informed Harshit that Asha had cancer,” police said. Harshit returned to the city on December 11 and shared the bad news with Ramya and some of his colleagues.

According to Ramya, on Wednesday Harshit had told her that he would be working from home. “Around 11 pm, I was feeding my daughter when I heard a loud noise in Harshit’s room,” Ramya said in her statement to police. “I immediately barged in and found him hanging from the ceiling. I shouted for help and the neighbors came rushing. We took him down and shifted him to a hospital by car, but doctors declared him brought dead.”
