The lovely Nayanthara is going through a terrific phase on the professional front these days. She was last seen in ‘Aramm’ which proved to be a surprise hit at the box office and earned rave reviews along the way. The film was a social drama and touched upon the water scarcity issue. In it, Nayan played the role of an IAS officer and proved why she is called ‘Lady Superstar’. A Gopi Nainar directorial, it was praised by fans and people from the industry alike. Praising it, Sivakarthikeyan had said that it deals with a relevant topic in the most hard-hitting way possible.
“There is no entertainment quotient in Nayanthara’s Aramm and the makers have made a bold decision of straight away jumping into the strong content. It is a wonderful and touching film which is a must watch for one and all as it touches upon important and essential issues and engages audiences throughout,” he had added.
Now, Nayanthara is in the news again and that too for a terrific reason. As it so happens, a lovely photo of the actress shooting for ‘Jai Simha’ in Dubai is going viral on the social media and giving her fans a reason to celebrate. In it, she looks elegant and proves that she is a diva in the truest sense. Her cute expressions and relaxed body language gel with her look quite well, upping its recall value in a big way. That is how you make an impact!
In case you did not know, ‘Jai Simha’ is touted to be an action-drama and has been directed by Tamil director KS Ravikumar. In it, ‘Thalaivi’ will be seen alongside Balakrishna. The two have previously worked together in successful films such as ‘Simha’ and ‘Sree Rama Rajyam’. As such, fans are bound to have high expectations from ‘Jai Simha’.
On a related note, this is a busy time for Nayan. Besides ‘Jai Simha’, she has ‘Velaikkaran’ and ‘Imaikkaa Nodigal’ in her kitty. ‘Velaikkaran’ is an action-thriller and has been directed by Mohan Raja. In it, Nayan will be seen alongside Sivakarthikeyan and Fahadh. Some time ago, Mohan Raja had said that film will do complete justice to her image.
“In Velaikkaran, Nayanthara plays Mrunalini, her character acts as a huge strength for the hero Sivakarthikeyan, who plays a righteous guy named Arivu,” he had told a leading daily.
Similarly, at the Velaikkaran audio launch, SK had praised Nayan and said that her disciplined has helped her create a market for her films.
“It is a happy moment to act with Nayanthara. I first saw her at the shooting spot of Aegean. Myself and Arunraja were supposed to come in brief roles in the film, and at that time, we saw her.
Then, it was Ethir Neechal, where she made an appearance for a song. After that, only at the shooting spot of Velaikkaran, I saw her. The one thing that hasn’t changed at all in all these three film shooting spots, is her punctuality and perfection. That is why, I feel, that she has established a market for herself,” he had added.
As far as ‘Imaikkaa Nodigal’ is concerned, it is a thriller and has been directed by R Ajay Gnanamuthu. In it, she will be seen alongside Atharvaa and Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. Kashyap’s role is expected to be the surprise package of the film. Some time ago, the director had revealed that he is the best choice for the role.
“I saw Anurag’s rare combination of subtlety, intensity, and unpredictability which is what I needed. Rudra holds the story together. If I couldn’t cast Anurag, I felt my film wouldn’t be complete.
The characteristics Anurag displayed were in sync with what I had written. He evokes such fear with his subtle and sheer villainy, making him the perfect choice, “ he had told a leading website.
