Oscars 2018 :Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan nominated for Awards
The Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s action thriller film, Pulimurugan has been getting rave reviews from all quarters. It has broken all box office records of Mollywood.
Now the latest news doing the rounds is that two songs from the film have featured in the top 70 songs in contention for the 2018 Awards. The two songs that have made to the coveted list as the only official entries from India are the hit songs Maanathe Maarikurumbe and Kadaniyum Kalchilambe.
Earlier today, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences declared the list of 70 songs from the year 2017 that are up for nomination in the Best Original Song category for the 90th Academy Awards, that’s slated to be held on March 4, 2018 at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood and Highland Center in Hollywood.
The film’s music composer Gopi Sunder, who took to his social media accounts to write, “All gods grace. no words .”
Pulimurugan is an action adventure film directed by Vysakh that was released in October 2016. The film was produced with a whopping Rs 25 crore budget by Tomichan Mulakuppadam. The film later went on to collect over Rs 150 crore.
