Kerala I.G P. Vijayan praised by PM Narendra Modi in ‘Mann Ki Baat’

Prime minister Narendra Modi in his Weekly radio program ‘Man KI Baat’ praised Kerala I.G P Vijayan for the programme ‘ Punyam Poonkaavanam’ which he started in Sabarimala. It is for the first time that a Prime Minister praised an I P S officer mentioning his name.

P Vijayan is also credited with the student’s police programme that is spread across the nation. His dedication has brought him so many achievements including medals from President and Chief Minister. He is also the recipient of Indian of the Year award from CNN IBN.

Narendra Modi also reminded of the importance of 1st January which is celebrated as the birthday of Guru Gobind.He also said that from January 1, Swachch Surakshan which is a part of Swachch Bharat programme will start. Addressing the youth of the nation he reminded that the youngsters of the nation who were born in the 21st century will become voters from January 1st, 2018. He also welcomed them to the democratic process.

He also mentioned about the banning of Triple Talaq and said that the historic bill has freed Muslim women after their struggle for about seventy years. He also said that Muslim women won’t need to seek the permission of men to perform Hajj.
