In certain places, transgenders are still not accepted within the society. They are either ridiculed or they are physically abused.
A transgender woman has been allegedly molested and attacked by a man in Kerala’s Malappuram.
According to the victim, the incident took place on Sunday night when she went out with her friends for dinner and were confronted by a local goon, Shihab.

“When I said that we are transgenders, Shihab allegedly stripped us demanding to show our genitals,” she told a national channel.
She was allegedly brutally abused and attacked by the goon on the roadside.
The victim has registered a complaint with the police in this regard and is undergoing medical treatment at a local hospital.
Further investigation is underway.
