Thiruvananthapuram: Muslim Youth League to stage protest

Certain communities have certain privileges and rights given to them. These more often are not used to its full potential or are at times misused.

Protesters of the Muslim Youth League decides to stage a 24-hour strike in front of the Secretariat in Thiruvananthapuram on January 29th and 30th  to voice their objections of the reservation strategy and the alleged employment stoppage in the State.

MYL State general secretary P.K. Firos suspected that the Left Democratic Front (LDF) administration was working forward with a reservation strategy that took away the reserved rights of  Dalits and Other Backward Classes.

The administration has enclosed renewed instructions in Kerala that proved catastrophic to stretch as the government had decided to provide equal opportunities.  This change was to decrease the reservation allocation to one-third of the total vacancies.  

Firoz also suspected that a group, which works for the  CPI(M), called the shots in the government  He also lashed at the administration for freezing the enrollments in the State.
