Gauri Khan

Married to the biggest superstar of the world, Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan is often referred as the first lady of Bollywood. She is one of the most popular star wives in the tinsel town. But if you think that her identity ends at being SRK’s wife, then think again. The beautiful and independent lady has carved out a separate identity for herself over the years. Yes, she is the wife of King Khan. But she is much beyond that.

Gauri has many business ventures to take care of. In initial years of her marriage, she was not inclined towards business as such, but soon she developed a keen interest in the moviemaking business, fashion, and interior designing. First, she ventured into movie production and produced films like ‘Main Hoon Na’ (2004), ‘Om Shanti Om’ (2007), ‘My Name Is Khan’ (2010), ‘Ra.One’ (2011), ‘Chennai Express’ (2013), ‘Happy New Year’ (2014) and ‘Dilwale’ (2015).

Apart from being the co-producer of all these successful Hindi movies, she also is a co-owner of the ‘Red Chillies Entertainment’ and the ‘Kolkata Knight Riders’ with her husband. Soon, she thought of diversifying her business and joined hands with Suzanne Roshan for Suzanne’s designer furniture ventures. Not just that, the Lady Shri Ram College graduate is also the Brand Ambassador of D’décor. Besides all that, she is also a well-known interior designer and has designed homes of many Bollywood celebrities, including Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Johar.

Twinkle Khanna

Twinkle Khanna had had a not so very successful career in movies before she got married to the action star Akshay Kumar in 2001. After her marriage, the actress decided to keep her film career at backburner and focus on her married life. When people did not see her in any film post marriage, everyone almost wrote her off.

After her marriage, she started an interior designing firm called ‘The White Window’ in Mumbai. Within a very short span of time, her interior designing business gained momentously and established the former actress as a force to reckon with in her new arena. Some of the big and popular names from tinsel town are her regular clients.

Twinkle is also a well-known newspaper columnist at Daily News and Analysis after hours and The Times of India and author. Her debut novel ‘Mrs. Funnybones’ hit stands in August 2015 sold more than 1 Lacs copies all over the world, fetching her the title of India’s highest-selling female writer of 2015. She walked away with the Crossword Book Award 2016 for her first book and India Today Woman Writer of the year 2017. Buoyed by the stupendous response her first book generated, Twinkle soon penned down her second book titled ‘The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad’ which received excellent reviews all over and debuted at No 2 on Amazon. Twinkle Khanna is also a film producer and has produced almost six films under Grazing Goat Pictures. She has recently laid down the foundation of her own production house and the first film which is being made under is titled ‘Padman’ and stars her husband Akshay Kumar.

Kiran Rao

Kiran Rao is not just the wife of Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan. She is a well-known producer, screenwriter, and director, who loves to tell extraordinary and unconventional stories through the medium of cinema.

It was during the shoot of epic sports drama ‘Lagaan’ where Kiran Rao met Aamir Khan for the first time. Apart from acting in it, Aamir was the producer of the film also. Both spent a lot of time together while working on the movie and developed a close relationship. After completing ‘Lagaan’, Rao assisted international filmmaker Mira Nair on ‘Monsoon Wedding’ (2001) and Shaad Ali on ‘Saathiya’ (2002). She assisted Ashutosh again on ‘Swades: We, the People’, which featured Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. In 2005, she tied the knot with Aamir Khan in a very simple ceremony. She made her debut as a director with the Aamir Khan starrer ‘Dhobi Ghat’ (2011). Her husband Aamir produced the film under his banner Aamir Khan Productions.
