Indian ‘James Bond’ arrested by Police!

Rajani Pandit, a well-known woman detective who is nicknamed as Indian ‘ James Bond’  had been arrested by Crime Branch of Thane police for her alleged involvement in procuring call detail records (CDR) illegally.

The name of the woman detective came to the forefront of the police after four detectives arrested by the police revealed her name.

The four who were arrested were identified as Makesh Pandian, Prashant Palekar, Jigar Makwana, Samresh Jha. They were arrested by the police on January 24.

“During their questioning, it was revealed that Pandit had purchased five CDRs from the arrested persons. On this basis, she was arrested today. She is being questioned for further leads and her statement is being recorded,” the official informed.

Police arrested them for gaining the call details and selling it for money.

Police had seized three desktop computers, two laptops, 11 mobile phones and electronic files of 177 CDRs from them. Section 420, 66, 72 and 72 A has been charged against them.
