Severed head of unanimous baby found atop of a building: Suspecting human sacrifice in lunar eclipse

In a shocking episode of crime, a severed baby head was found atop a building in Uppal, Hyderabad on Thursday. The incident took place in Chiluka Nagar, Uppal.

The head of the baby, whose gender is yet to be identified was found on the roof of one Rajashekar’s house. The head was spotted by Balalakshmi, Rajashekar’s mother-in-law.

Balalakshmi went to dry clothes at around 11 am and was shocked to see the severed head. Residents of the house have told police that they do not know whose baby it was and that the gates were locked. The family also said that they had no idea how someone could come and throw the head in their residence, police informed.

The possibility of human sacrifice on a lunar eclipse day is among various leads that the police are exploring to crack the sensational case. Uppal inspector P Venkateshwarlu said they are investigating all possible angles to find the culprit. Three persons, including the house owner K. Rajashekar, who is a cab driver, have been detained for questioning.

The other two are his neighbors, Narahari and his son, Ranjith, both of whom were taken into custody after sniffer dogs led the cops to their house. They are suspected of performing pooja regularly out of superstitious beliefs.

However, the rest of the body couldn’t be retrieved. However, in this crime, police were immediately able to retrieve the torso and nab the killers within a day.
