If Anushka’s Pari had scared her viewers, then here latest film will bring them into the simple and ordinary life of a couple.
Varun Dhawan shared the first look of his upcoming film, ‘Sui Dhaga – Made in India’. Also starring Anushka Sharma as the female lead, the movie’s poster gave a glimpse of a happy couple in a small town.
The pictures show Mauji and Mamta (Varun and Anushka), dressed in a simple attire. In line with PM Modi’s Make In India campaign that promotes skill development, Anushka will reportedly play the role of an embroiderer and Varun as a tailor in the film.

Speaking about the project, Varun has earlier said, “‘From Gandhiji to Modiji, our leaders have always endorsed the mantra of Made in India. With Sui Dhaaga, I am proud to take their message to millions of movie lovers in a way that is entertaining and relevant. I really liked the script that Sharat had written and I am happy that I am teaming up with YRF on this one. Anushka and I are pairing up for the first time so I am sure there will be fireworks.”
Sui Dhaaga is helmed by Dum Laga Ke Haisha director, Sharat Kataria. The film releases on 28 September 2018, ahead of Gandhi Jayanti.
