Recipe: AJWAIN TEA

Ajwain(Carom seed) is a very common seed found in Indian kitchens which has numerous medicinal values. It is used as a remedy for stomach ache, cold, kidney stone and asthma. Ajwain tea with little amount of ginger is seen as a perfect solution for digestion problems.

INGREDIENTS

2 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 cups milk
4 teaspoon sugar
3 teaspoon carom seeds (ajwain)
1/2 teaspoon ginger (adrak) juice
1/2 teaspoon chai masala
1/4 teaspoon cardamom (elaichi) powder

INSTRUCTIONS

Mix water, milk, sugar, ginger juice, elaichi powder and chai masala and heat on a low flame till the mixture starts boiling.
Let it boil for 2 minutes. Then add ajwain seeds and simmer for 5 minutes, while stirring at times.
Finally bring one more boil and shut the gas. Cover and keep the chai for 5 minutes. Serve it as it is for better results.
This tea helps in curing people suffering from regular common cold, if consumed regularly atleast once a day eventually the cold is cured completely.
