London Fashion Week sees another first; graduate’s unusual designs

Fashion trends always keep changing. And the designers create with the help of their inspiration or muse.

After political protests, London Fashion Week has seen another ‘first’ – Condom dresses and ‘Trumpettos’.

Fashion designer Edwin Mohney, who is a graduate of Central Saint Martin’s MA, set the world talking with his unusual designs and accessories on the ramp of London Fashion Week 2018.

A pair of rubber stilettos designed to look like American President Donald Trump’s head made quite left the audience talking.

Add in the condom dresses and the people were left baffled with the unusual designs. Some of the constrictive condom-inspired dresses were two-fold bubble skirts and a translucent hat.

The surrealist collection was an immediate hit on the Instagram, according to The Independent.

Not just these, but lilos, inflatable swimming pools, nipple-inspired hats, and bathtub dresses added to the overall bizarre factor of the show.

It’s not the first time that condom has inspired cloth designs. In 2013, pop sensation Miley Cyrus sported a dress, similar to a condom for a performance in New York.
