Gujarat Panchayat Election: BJP surges ahead of Congress

The Grama Panchayat Election which comes soon after the Municipal Corporation election in the state of Gujarat, one can see a neck to neck fight between BJP and Congress.

AS per the latest result In the Banaskantha district panchayat, BJP has won in 23 seats, Congress on 25 seats.

In Banaskantha, Suigaam Taluka Panchayat polls; BJP has won 9 seats, Congress 5, results of 2 more seats yet to be declared. In the 207 seats for which the results are out in the 14 taluka panchayats of Banaskantha district, BJP is ahead with 103 seats while Congress is close behind with 98 seats. There are total 350 seats.

The election has seen a close fight between the Grand old party and the ruling party at the centre in two district panchayats and 17 taluka panchayats.

In Kheda district panchayat which has 44 seats, the BJP has won 17 and Congress nine. In the Gandhinagar, Taluk Panchayat BJP has got 8 seats while Congress 13 seats.

The counting which started in the 9 Am and still then there has been a close fight between both the parties.

Results are to be announced in many more seats. Will update them as soon as they are out.
