The Railways women volleyball team lifted the National Volleyball Championship trophy for the tenth consecutive time in Kozhikode today. They defeated Kerala in the final after a long game of five sets.
The game moved to the fifth set after both teams won two sets each to set up an exciting final. But the Railway girls proved to be too good for the Kerala team as the former emphatically won the final set and walked away with the trophy. Score: (25-21), (26-28), (21-25), (25-18), (15-12)
Meanwhile, Kerala men’s team will be looking to defend their title in the men’s final which will take place shortly.
