PM Modi’s touching message about girl child on International Women’s Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi honoured the district administrations of Rajasthan’s Sikar and Jhunjhunu for their improving sex-ratio on International Women’s Day. The Prime Minister applauded the districts for their great efforts towards his ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign.

Speaking about the importance of women, the Prime Minister said, “There is no question of discrimination based on gender and everyone is equal, it is important that girls get access to quality education, just like boys do.”The Prime Minister also advocated the importance of gender equality by saying that girl child should be seen as the pride of the family rather than a burden.

The Prime Minister also wanted people to be more aware of ‘Mission Indradhanush’, which has brought great changes in the lives of women and children in the country.
