Legendary playback singer MS Rajeswari passed away at her residence in Chennai today. 85 years old and died due to age-related health issues.
She has crooned over 500 songs in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. She was the first playback singer for Kamal Haasan for the song Ammaavum Neeye Appaavum Neeye in Kalathur Kannamma.
She started her career in AVM Studios under R Sudharsanam’s composing. She later went on to sing for legendary music directors like G Ramanathan, Naushad, Viswanathan-Ramamoorthy, and Ilaiyaraaja.
