Holding your hands at 10 and 2 while driving

A lot of driving tutors continue to advocate for this position without acknowledging the changes that have come in to the car technology. You are asked to imagine your steering wheel as a clock and have your hands at the position where the 10 and 2 in the clock would be. May be that was okay before the advent of air bags, but not anymore. With airbags designed to come out of the centre of steering wheel, having your hands there is only going to foul with the air bag, In the event of it popping out. Modern day driving experts advocate a more comfortable 9 and 3 position.

Brush your teeth immediately after food.

As kids you might have been told to do so, especially after your dinner. But brushing immediately after a meal is not a great idea. Your enamel is the hardest part of your body but it tends to be softer under acidic conditions, like after eating a food. So brushing at that point can affect the long term health of enamel.
Wash your food before eating

Well, not all types of foods. For eg, red meat and poultry are better handled baking or boiling it straightaway rather than washing it. With washing, you are only going to make the bacterias spread around and even in to the utensils you use.

Cleaning your ears regularly.

The fact is your ear has an inbuilt system to clean for itself. Ear wax are extremely useful to keep the bacterias out of your ear and they have a natural system to push themselves out. Using a cotton swab or something similar to clean your ears will only push the wax deeper which can even create temporary loss of hearing. What is advisable is to gently clean the ear with a wet towel after bathing.
