One Border Security Forces jawan and two were killed in Jammu

Pakistan violated the Ramzan ceasefire agreement and resorted to shelling on the International Border in Jammu on Friday, caused the death of one Border Security Forces (BSF) jawan and two civilians.

An official said Pakistani troops targeted Indian positions and civilian areas on Thursday night, which left one BSF jawan killed in R.S. Pura.

“In continuing shelling, two civilians also died in R.S. Pura and Arnia area in the shelling,” said the official.

Pakistan troops resorted to heavy mortar shelling in Arnia, R.S. Pura and Ramgarh Sectors in Jammu, said officials. “Pakistan”s fire is being retaliated in equal measure,” said an official. The borders of Jammu & Kashmir are witnessing a flare-up in the run-up to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the state on May 19.
