IPL 2018: MS Dhoni misses an easy Run-out chance in Qualifier 1

MS Dhoni is the most successful Indian Premier League (IPL) captain with 92 wins and 59 loses in 158 matches he played so far. Besides being a successful IPL captain, Dhoni is also known for hitting big to turn the game in Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) favour at any point in time.

Behind the stumps, Dhoni is among the most successful keepers in IPL. He is at number 2 with 115 dismissals, including 83 catches and 32 stumpings so far. Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) skipper Dinesh Karthik is leading with 122 dismissals.

During the IPL 2018 Qualifier 1 encounter with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), it was rare to see Dhoni missing an easy chance to run-out Sreevats Goswami with his wicket-keeping.

Following Dhoni’s poor show, social media platforms including Twitter and Instagram got flooded with some shocking reactions as some claimed that the ‘match is fixed’.

Meanwhile, SRH set a 140-run target for a batting-heavy CSK side in the Qualifier 1 after being asked to bat first by MS Dhoni at the Wankhede Stadium.

For SRH, Carlos Brathwaite was the leading run-getter with 43 off 29 balls, including one four and three sixes. For CSK, Bravo was the pick of the bower as he returned with figures of 25/2 in his quota of four overs.
