Very interesting comment from actress Ekta Kapoor regarding petrol price hike

Ekta Kapoor joined the team of Veere Di Wedding last evening for the music launch. The film has been produced by Ekta Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor and Nikhil Dwivedi.

After the music launch, the team interacted with the media. When Ekta was asked about the fuel price hike, she said, “Even if petrol prices are at its highest, men will take women for drives & in today’s time, women will take men for drives. This isn’t the movie that you’re going to stop watching as at this time you need to spend less on driving & more in theatre.”

Realising that her answer did not make sense, Ekta added, “Not that there was any connection between the question and my answer.” Ekta also took a dig at the reporter’s question.

At the music launch, Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor were also asked about the rumours of the film being given ‘A certificate’. Ekta said, “Our censor board has not given us any problem. I don’t want to talk more about it as we have not got censor certificate in our hands (yet)”

She added, “Rhea (co-producer) and my father had also gone to the censor board for (the certification) and if they both can come along then it is not a film we should be ashamed of.”

Veere Di Wedding is a story about four friends and has been directed by June 1, 2018. The film has been directed by Shashanka Ghosh and the team has been on a promotional spree for the film. This is Kareena Kapoor Khan’s first film after the birth of son Taimur Ali Khan.
