2019 Elections Survey: Rajasthan & Madhya Pradesh to slip out of Modi-BJP’s grasp

After the Karnataka polls, the BJP will lose its seat in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The ABP-CSDS Survey has now come out. The survey predicts BJP will be defeated in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, which will be in the coming assembly polls this year.

Congress will gain 49 percent of the votes in Madhya Pradesh. The BJP could get only 34 percent of the votes. In Rajasthan, 44 percent and 39 percent respectively are in the same constituency. Similarly, the same party will get similar vote share in the current Lok Sabha elections.

The Congress won two Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan by the by-election and four Assembly seats in six. BJP’s state unit president Ashok Parnami, who resigned on March 16, after the by-election was unsuccessful, and unhappy to BJP in Rajasthan. Senior Congress leader Kamal Nath said he would seek a coalition with the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samajwadi Party in Madhya Pradesh ahead of polls.

Modi will continue to wave in the Lok Sabha polls in 2019. The NDA will come to power with Modi. But 47 percent of those surveyed believes that Modi will not be able to rule in 2019. The unemployment and rising prices these issues are the major challenge for BJP. The majority of the Hindu community has anti-government attitudes. The challenges to the government includes unemployment, GST, Attacks on Dalits minorities etc.

Muslims are the major group Dissatisfied with the central government. The survey also says that the number of dissatisfied numbers on Modi’s government is increasing. In May 2017, dissatisfaction with 27 percent, In 2018 40 percent and will go to 47 percent in 2019.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi has become the most popular one. With 34 percent nomination to PM, 24 percentage points to Rahul Gandhi. In January 2018, Modi and Rahul had a difference of 17 percent. Now it is down to 10 percent.
