MH 370 Search in Final Week: Malaysian Govt. informs Pune resident

The MH-370 airline which went missing on March 8, 2014, had 239 people aboard. There were 5 Indians including Kranti Shirsath w/o Prahlad Shirsah, a native of Pune. Now Prahlad Shirsah has got an email from the Malaysian Government informing that the search operation is in the final week. The plane was on its way to Beijing from Kualalampur when it went missing. After getting the mail, Mr.Shirsah said that he would not give up the hope that some news about the finding of the plane would surface soon.

The Email said that the Malaysian Government had entered into an agreement with Ocean Infinity Limited, an American exploration firm in January for the search of MH 370.The 90-day search by Ocean Infinity Limited rendered fruitless with them calling off the search in April. But they started the search again after Malaysian Government’s request and extended the search operations till May 29.

The email added We hope that Ocean Infinity would be able to find the aircraft. We will continue to engage the authorities to get more updates on this, including what happens next, and will keep you informed,”.

The 4 other Indians who went missing were Vinod Kolekar, Chetana Kolekar, Swanand Kolekar and Chandrika Sharma.Mr.Shirsanth said that since the plane had been gone missing 4 years ago, that was the fifth or sixth operation to trace its remains and that everytime it began, they(survivors)had a new hope, which turned into despair eventually. The Malaysian government sends weekly and regular updates, he says.

The death certificate of Kranti Shirsath has been issued by the Malaysian Government and the family has received it. He says that they (families of missing passengers ) will still appeal to the Malaysian government to continue the search.
