After the blood shed taking toll of 13 lives, the Sterilite copper purification plant in Thoothukudi has been shut down by the government.The factory is owned by Anil Agarwal’s Vedanta group which had been previously involved in the pollution of Kafu river in Zambia and also the Niyamgiri hills mining issue in Odisha.
