A railway coach parked at Mumbai CST Railway Yard caught fire

A stationary coach of the Solapur Express Train at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus(CSMT) Railway Yard was caught fire on Tuesday afternoon.No casualties or injuries has been reported so far. The rescue operations were carried out by senior railway officials and rescue personnel who rushed to the spot and doused the flames. The coach had been parked in the railway yard with no passengers on board. The fire erupted around 3 PM.

The fire is under control as per the official announcement and only one coach has been damaged in the fire. An inquiry has been initiated.

Western Railway PRO said that local and long-distance train services would not be affected.
