Healthy Evening Snack For Ifthar: Aval Ladoo

Aval Laddu is an easy healthy snack to make with very few ingredients in minutes. This can be served as an evening snack.

INGREDIENTS

  • Aval/Rice Flakes – 2 cups
  • Coconut scrapped- 1 cup
  • Ghee -2 to 3 tablespoon
  • Cashew nuts- 10
  • Jaggery – as per your taste,
  • Cardamom Powder/elachi powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coconut Bits- 1/4 cup

METHOD

Heat a pan, add rice flakes and roast it. Remove from the fire and keep aside. In the same pan, roast coconut as well, drain and keep aside with roasted rice flakes. Crush these using a mixer/food processor to a fine powder.

Add one tablespoon ghee in the pan, fry coconut bites and nuts when the butter heats. Switch off the flame. In a bowl, add powdered aval mixture, cardamom powder, coconut bites, powdered jaggery, cashew nuts and combine well with your hands. Make small lemon sized balls out of it.

Aval Laddu is ready. Do try this, surely you will love it.
