Spicy Chichen Pakora recipe for this Ramadan

Pakoras are a favourite recipe across India, available in different types and different styles with different tastes portraying the diversity in our country. Usually made with veggies dipped in yummy gram flour and then deep fried, meat varieties are also in a vogue. Chicken, fish varieties are available across India. The taste lies in the preparation and consistency of the batter. The addition of curry leaves, green chillies etc create a special and unique South Indian taste that will linger in your taste buds for some time. Chicken Pakoras are best served with green onion raita. Now let’s try out a classic form of chicken pakora. The recipe will be enough to serve 6 people and total cooking time will be 45 minutes.

Ingredients
1.Boneless chicken Cubes-500gm
2.Onion(thinly sliced)-1/2 cup
3.Lemon Juice-2tbsp
4.Ginger(pasted)-1tsp
5.garlic(pasted)-1tsp
6.Chilli powder-1/2 tsp
7.Garam masala-1/2 tsp
8.Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
9.Coriander powder- 1/4tsp
10.Chickpea flour/besan- 3-4 tbsp
11.Corn flour-1tsp
12.Green chilli(chopped)- 1 tsp
13.Salt(to taste)
14.Oil(to deep fry)

How to make?
Mix the ingredients 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,12 and 13 in a bowl.Drop the chicken cubes into this mixture and mix well. Keep it aside for 10 minutes. Now add the besan and cornflour to the bowl containing chicken cubes and mix well. Now heat the oil in a pan and fry the chicken cubes until they become golden brown in colour. Serve hot with chilli/mint chutney or ketchup
