Congress party in Kerala is witnessing another uproar regarding the latest decision the party took to surrender the Rajyasabha seat to Kerala Congress(M). Workers and leaders alike have taken a dislike to this choice and are expressing their displeasure through social media and other means.

Former K.P.C.C president V M Sudheeran said that the decision to prefer Mani over other deserving candidates will give rise to a wrong tradition. Senior leader K C Joseph said that it is the presence of Congress party that is required in RajyaSabha. Youth Congress said that the decision, if taken will be like forfeiting the dignity of the whole party. Anil Akkara expressed hope that Rahul Gandhi will not accept such a decision.
Oommen Chandy, Ramesh Chennithala and M.M Hassan have held a meeting with Rahul Gandhi. Early reports suggest Mani’s party might get the nod for this time. There are unconfirmed reports that Kunjalikutty’s interference was crucial for Mani’s cause. It is believed that the Muslim League leader spoke in support of giving Mani a seat.
Ramesh Chennithala said that the final decision will be taken today itself. Jose K Mani in delhi said that it wasn’t just about the Rajyasabha seat that discussions were held, but that a lot of other important issues were discussed.
