AAP files petition in HC on Modi’s attendance in Parliament

A petition seeking details of PM Narendra Modi’s attendance in the parliament will be filed by Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh, probably prompted by disgruntled AAP legislator Kapil Mishra’s Public Interest Litigation(PIL) in Delhi Court on “low attendance” of CM Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Assembly.

Singh lashed out at Mishra doubting his opposition to Kejriwal as ‘sponsored’ and asked him why he kept mum on alleged obstructions by Modi and Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal in the implementation of various projects of the Delhi government.“I am filing a case in the high court for getting Narendra Modi’s attendance and ensure his presence in Parliament. Why does Kapil Mishra keep mum on Modi who obstructs every work by Delhi government?” , Singh tweeted in Hindi.

In another tweet, he said that despite an appeal by the entire opposition, Narendra Modi did not come to Parliament and that Modiji and LG(Lieutenant Governor) only created hurdles in various schemes of Delhi government but Kapil Mishra did not utter a word, was Mishra’s protest sponsored?

The court allowed listing of Mishra’s petition against Kejriwal claiming that the Chief Minister has “less than 10 per cent” attendance in the Assembly.

Mishra had filed a PIL in the Delhi HC seeking direction to CM Arvind Kejriwal to attend the Assembly and mandatory 75% attendance for all MLAs.The litigation also demanded a court direction of “no work, no pay” for legislators, Ministers and Chief Minister having less than 50% attendance.
