Denmark and France have met twice in World Cup before, both in the final of game of group stages – France won 2 -1 in 1998 and Denmark won 2-0 in 2002. But tonight when they met, the match, ended up in a goalless draw.

By the 15th minute, Denmark’s Martin Brathwaite had three touches in the opposition’s box as many as every other player on the field combined. In to the injury time of first half, Zanka was booked for a foul but there was no time to take a free-kick.
2 minutes into second half France made an early change as Hernandez was replaced by Mendy. Christian Eriksen’s long-range free-kick which came on the 54th minute was Denmark’s first shot on target.
Dembele offered plenty of space for France but no real end product. In the end, the match ended up in a goalless draw.
