Tunisia had dominated the first half, but against the run of play, the first goal came for Panama in the form of an own goal. A strike from Jose Luis Rodriguez delivered from outside the box took a wicked deflection off Yassine Merriah for an own goal, skipping into the bottom left corner. Panama left for the break with its nose ahead.

6 minutes in to the second half, Fakhereedine Ben Youssef scored the equalizer for Tunisia. It was an absolutely fine goal as Sliti laid up a fine pass to Khazri on the right of Panama box, before he squared back in for the Al-Ettifaq striker to poke into the left corner.

5 minutes further, Tunisia scored another to go ahead of Panama. Haddadi squared a lovely ball in from the left of the box to pick out the Sunderland man who clipped in at the right post for his second goal of the tournament.

Tunisia always looked the better team in the game and Panama didn’t really threaten to make a come back.
