Dhadak is an upcoming 2018 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Shashank Khaitan, produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios and stars Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter in lead roles. The film is a remake of the 2016 Marathi language film Sairat It is scheduled to be released on 20 July 2018.
The story is based on the 2016 Marathi language film Sairat, however, this version will be set in Rajasthan. This love story explores how the protagonists deal with issues like differences between castes and honor killings.
Newcomers Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter are going out-and-out to promote their upcoming film Dhadak. The actors are seen making city tours and today were snapped while making their way towards Lucknow.
The song Zingaat which was a huge hit was also remade in Hindi for Dhadak and it was released this week. The music for the film is also composed by Ajay-Atul who were the music composers for Sairat.
At a radio station recently, Janhvi Kapoor expressed her happiness about the response received to the song Zingaat from her film. She said that she is happy with the positive response.

Talking about comparisons, she mentioned that people are attached with the Marathi version but the song is important for the storyline and characters of the film. Dhadak is slated to release on July 20, 2018.
The film has already been making headlines for its fun trailer and soulful music. Currently, Ishaan and Janhvi are on a promotional spree for ‘Dhadak’. The two recently visited Lucknow for their promotions and looked extremely energetic. While Ishaan swayed the audience with his charm, Janhvi stole their hearts.
