Has Manju Warrier quit WCC? Here is the truth…

Dileep row continues! Now according to the latest reports, senior actress Manju Warrier has decided to quit WCC (Women in Collective Cinema). Reportedly, Manju told her decision to quit WCC to AMMA president Mohanlal. Manju kept mum during all these time regarding the ongoing issue when AMMA decide to take Dileep back. Even when the actresses Bhavana, Rima Kallingal, Remya Nambeeshan and Padmapriya resigned from the AMMA association, it was being conceived that Manju was having a difference in opinion with WCC members.

However, Revathy, a member of WCC and AMMA, the actress and filmmaker told us that there is no enmity whatsoever between Manju and WCC,

”Manju had told us that she wants to stay away from this entire thing for a while. All of us at WCC said ‘yes, it’s your personal decision, please go ahead’. From that point onwards, Manju has not been part of any decision or discussion in the WCC. As a democratic organisation, we respect that,” she said.

So what about the latest rumours that Manju has quit? ”If she has quit, she has to say it,” said Revathy, implying that the WCC has not received any formal intimation from Manju about this.

However, director Vidhu Vincent has clarified that no such discussion regarding Manju Warrier’s resignation has been made and no formal resignation was received by WCC.
