Minor kidnapped and raped in Capital; help requested to public

In the 21^st century where women are supposed to feel empowered and live freely, they live in fear of rapes and sexual advances.

Another brutal rape case has come to light where a minor was kidnapped and raped by a eunuch in Delhi.

The 6-year-old was living on the streets with her rickshaw-puller father and her step-mother who is a beggar. She was kidnapped on Saturday night while her parents slept, and was raped after which she was brutally beaten.

The parents noticed the child’s absence on Sunday morning and went in search of her, and then registered a complaint in the nearest police station. The police had found the girl in a forested area, with injury marks all over her body.

The victim was admitted to the ICU under the critical condition and underwent 4 hours operation. She remains critical as her internal organ have been severely damaged, and will take a long time to recover.

Delhi Women’s Commission (DCW) Chairperson Swati Maliwal  had tweeted:

Visited 6 year old rape survivor in hospital. She was raped so brutally dat despite 4 hour operation, her internal organs r damaged! Father rickshaw puller, stepmom beggar & family homeless. Request courts to give death to guilty imm. Seek support frm society to help rehab girl.

She said that those who wish to help the girl should send an e-mail to [email protected]. The parents are unable to bear the burden of the hospital bills when they can barely make two-ends meet.

Apart from making a public appeal, Maliwal also appealed to PM Modi to implement provisions in the recently passed ordinance urgently and ensure that the guilty are given death penalty within 3 months.
