Remember Bajaj Chetak? Its Coming Back in a New Avatar

Bajaj Auto Limited is planning to bring back the country’s favourite two wheeler – the Chetak. It may be remembered that the Bajaj Chetak was a popular scooter during the period 1972-2006. It was so named after the legendary horse of Indian warrior Rana Pratap Singh and was looked upon as a top quality scooter, in an affordable price range and was lovingly called ‘Hamara Bajaj’.

Bajaj Auto will bring back the Chetak brand and it is expected to be launched in 2019. The report states that the upcoming Bajaj Chetak will be a 125cc scooter and will be priced around Rs 70,000. Bajaj will be looking to encash the classic Chetak brand which was popular in the Indian market.

The new Bajaj Chetak will feature a retro style design and will offer a right mix of mileage and performance. the upcoming Bajaj Chetak will be powered by a 125cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces around 9.5bhp and will also offer a high mileage.

In all probability, the all-new Bajaj Chetak will have a retro-esque design. . The features list will include an all-digital speedo console with Bluetooth connectivity, USB charging port, CBS brakes and so on.  Akin to the original Chetak, the new version will offer many storage spaces.
