Congress M.L.A V.T Balram Exhorts People to Boycott Bhima Jewellers

The novel ‘Meesha’ written by Harish which came as a series in Mathrubhumi magazine had sparked off some controversies in Kerala as right-wing organisations said that the novel hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus .  Following the incident, Bhima Jewellers had recently stated that it will stop giving advertisements to the Mathrubhumi newspaper as they have been getting responses from right wing and Sangh Parivar organisations that they will not buy gold from Bhima. V.T Balram was responding to this step taken by Bhima.

He said already the Sangh Parivar followers have started a campaign that they will buy gold only from Bhima. So be it. So if Bhima is boycotting Mathrubhumi, people should be ready to boycott Bhima, exhorted the MLA.

Bhima has not responded to MLAs statements and for a Jewellers that prefer not to be dragged into controversies, they probably won’t respond to  MLA’s statements.
