A day after online retail major Amazon launched its Independence Day special sale, rival Flipkart on Friday started its own weekend-special sale offering discounts on a range of products. Flipkarts’s ‘Big Freedom Sale’ will continue till August 12.
Flipkart’s ‘Big Freedom Sale’ is offering great deals on smartphones. Popular low-budget smartphone Honor 7A in being offered Rs 3000 less. Similarly, Samsung Galaxy On5 is selling at just Rs 5790. It’s original price is Rs 8990. Redmi Note 5 Pro has a price tag of Rs 14,999 with an extra Rs 1000 off on exchange of old phone.

Discounts of upto Rs 10,000 are being offered on range of laptops. Televisions are also carrying good deals on top brands including Samsung, LG, VU and Micromax.
Another report by Moneycontrol.com said Flipkart will offer a 10 percent cashback to customers shopping with Citibank cards, adding that discounts of up to 70 percent can be availed on electronic appliances such as television sets and air conditioners will be sold at Rs 30,000 per unit.
The e-commerce website is also offering disocunts on home appliances, kitchen essentials, fashion products, the report said, adding that books, toys and beauty products will be available as low as Rs 99, said the India TV report.
